ï¬ On 24th September, 2011, One Day international Seminar on†Physics of Materials for Devices and Natural sciences†in Bharatpur, Chitwan, Nepal was organized where 11 contributed papers and 2 invited lectures were presented. This was IEEE EDS DL sponsored program. The first session was inaugurated by Chief Guest Campus Chief of Birendra Multiple Campus Prof. Ganesh Prasad Kharal. On his inaugural speech, he thanked the EDS HQ and Nepal Chapter sponsoring and arranging such important program in the remote area of Nepal. The EDS Distinguished Lecturer Prof. Chandan Kumar highlighted the vision, mission and role of IEEE EDS for academic upliftment of its member and nation. The session was also addressed by Nepal Chapter Chair, Prof. Bhadra Pokharel, President of Nepal Physical Society, Prof. Shekhar Gurung and EDS member prof. Sitaram Byahut. They highlighted on the science policy and role of IEEE EDS Chapter in Nepal. The program was presided by NPS Bharatpur Chapter President Dr. Ram Bahadur, Chhetri.
