Richmond Section Summer Kickoff!
Come and join us as we have our summer kickoff picnic at Motts Run Reservoir Recreation Area near Fredericksburg on June 10th at 12:00 PM. We're hoping that you and your families can join us as we kick off the summer together and enjoy some food, drink, and outdoor activities as an IEEE community. Food and drink will be provided by the IEEE Richmond section (Vegetarian Options Available). Participation in other activities will be at your own cost. Please register HERE so we know how much food and drink to purchase. If you decide at the last minute to attend, that’s okay as we will have extra food for you!
As we spend time together, we’ll discuss our current plans for the coming year and ask for your ideas to support our members even better.
Motts Run Reservoir Recreation Area is a lovely oasis within easy reach of Fredericksburg and provides a multitude of recreational opportunities. The 860-acre natural area, including the 160-acre reservoir, is a haven for fishing, canoeing, hiking, biking, and picnicking. More information here: https://www.fredericksburgva.gov/1154/Motts-Run
Pre Event Hike @ 10:00AM - There will also be a Pre-Event hike for those interested in exploring the park more. Hike will start at 10:00AM, and will follow either Mine Run Trail, or LakeView Trail depending on interest.
