University of Louisiana at Lafayette College of Electrical Engineering students participated in the IEEE Region 5 Student Robotics Competition April 21 - 23, 2023 in Denver, CO.  This year, the competition encouraged cooperative behaviors between a ground robot and a small drone.  Working together, the flying drone and ground robot had to communicate/negotiate autonomasly through a series of obstacles.  The project also served as their two semester senior design project under the guidance and mentorship of UL Professor Dr. Paul Darby, P.E.

This month's presentation will consist of the UL Robotics Competition Team presenting their robot to our IEEE Lafayette Section.  We will hear about the challenges the students had to overcome through their design, as well as how they had to exercise on-the-fly problem solving skills throughout the competition.

We are excited to have our first evening presentation event in some time.  Meet us at Pete's On Johnston the evening of June 7th.  We will be in the back right corner area of the restaurant.  This will be an awesome presentation and hope to see you there!
