The Seattle Chapter of the IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferrroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society (UFFC-S) was founded in March 2023. The Chapter aims to provide UFFC-S members with opportunities for professional and personal growth as well as network with the local, vibrant UFFC community.

Our guest speaker for our September Tech Talk will be Dr. Matthew O'Donnell. Dr. O'Donnell is Dean Emeritus and Professor of the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Washington in Seattle. He is a long time contributor to the field of medical ultrasound. He has received a wide range of awards and honors throughout his career in both academia and industry, including the IEEE UFFC Rayleigh Ultrasonics Award that represents the highest honor for achievement within the IEEE UFFC-S in the field of Ultrasonics.
