LEGACY 3.0
A one-week long competition LEGACY 3.0 exclusively for IEEE members was organized
by IEEE SB MESCE from 30th September 2024 to 5th October 2024, to celebrate 20th
anniversary of IEEE SB MESCE as a part of IEEE day. The total number of participants was
87. The participants were divided into 8 groups to facilitate collaboration and competition.

Day-1
IEEE SB MESCE conducted a mystery box competition: Take it or Leave it on 30th
September 2024 from 8.00 PM to 9.00 PM on google meet. The competition was conducted
under the constant guidance of our game team members, Sahal KP, Vinoop Kumar, Nuha
Fathima and Jishnu A. Rules and regulations of the competition were explained at the
beginning. It was interesting three round competition, including negative marks. The
participants showcased their brilliance by rapidly answering the questions. Though some of
the questions were very tricky, the teams tired to answer them with confidence. Although the
teams participated actively.

It was very informative and knowledge enriching competition for the participants.
Day-2
As part of the IEEE Legacy event held on October 1st, 2024, a film quiz competition
held in google meet from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, featuring 8 groups, each competing in two
exciting rounds. The event began with the organizers briefing the participants on the game’s
guidelines, ensuring a fair and smooth competition. The quiz tested participants' knowledge
of both classic and contemporary cinema through a general film knowledge round and an
audio-visual round. The group named "Yurei" displayed outstanding skill and quick thinking,
securing first place in the competition. The event saw enthusiastic participation, with teams
enjoying a fun yet competitive atmosphere. Overall, the film quiz was a great success,
adding an exciting and entertaining element to the IEEE Legacy event.
Day-3
IEEE SB MESCE conducted a PITCH PERFECT event on 2nd October 2024 from
8:00 pm to 10:00pm as apart of one week long competition LEGACY 3.0.squads got a great
opportunity to showcase their marketing skill . Each team got the existing brand and they
want to create an innovative product that the brand doesn't currently offer. Some conditions
want to follow in this game, that is : product choosing idea, their need ,competition in today's
market, targeting audience, business plan, environmental impacts , product appeal and
presentation, its relevance. Q&A session is also added in this game, when each team
introduce their product, other squads can ask questions and doubts about that product. The
presenting time duration is 15 minutes and Q&A section duration is 10 minutes. The team
participants played very well and they showed their marketing strategy, skills and talents in
this game .
The PITCH PERFECT champion is RAIJIN, the harmonious runner-up is RONIN, and the
melodious third position got RYOMA.

Day-4
Secret Seekers, an online treasure hunt event was conducted by IEEE SB MESCE
on 3rd September 2024 from 8.00 PM to 10 PM. As part of LEGACY 3.0 students got the
chance to showcase their team spirit and problem solving ability. 10 teams participated in
this event. Each team was given 10 pdf consisting of clues. Each clue corresponded to the
password of the next pdf. Team has to figure out the clues to get the next password. Every
clue was in the riddle form. And the final answer was sent to the game team. A detailed list
of winning teams is given below.
Based on the timed responses of the treasure hunt, these are the positions of each team.

Immense team work and coordination was showcased among the group members.
Overall, the treasure hunt activity was a huge success and progressed smoothly due to the
participants and support and guidance of the game team.
Day-5
An exhilarating gaming event organized by the IEEE Student Branch of MES College
of Engineering, Kuttippuram (MESCE), took place on the 4th of October, 2024. The event
featured a thrilling coding challenge named "Code Quest", which required participants to
identify and correct mistakes in a given code. The event was a part of LEGACY 3.0's gaming
lineup. Teams were presented with erroneous code, and their task was to identify the
mistakes and correct them within a limited time frame. The competition was fast-paced,
designed to simulate real-world coding challenges. The competition commenced at 8:00 PM
and was conducted online, ensuring simultaneous participation from all teams. Each team
was given identical sets of coding problems with intentional mistakes embedded in the code.
Teams had to debug and correct these mistakes within a specified timeframe. The event's
online format ensured wide participation and maintained the thrill of competition The event
was highly intense, with teams striving to complete the corrections in the shortest time
possible. Team Onyx's victory, followed by Team Raijin and the tied third-place winners,
Team Ryoma and Ronin exemplified the high level of talent among the participants. The
event was completed by 8:30 PM and the results were declared at 8:45 PM.
Day-6
The event began at 9:30 AM in the college auditorium with fun team building and ice
breaking session, which the participants thoroughly enjoyed. Then started our eSport
gaming session: GameStorm. Combat master is a multiplayer first-person shooter game
from Alfa Bravo Inc. since combat master is famous among youngsters due to its multiplayer
feature, we conducted a combat master event: GameStorm, in which the purpose of this
event was to involve players to play as team and compete other teams. There was a total
participation of 40 IEEE members, with the team limit of 5 participants. The time limit for all
the round was 15 minutes. The champion of this eSport event is Ryoma. The most awarded
player- Febin.
After the 15 minutes of lunch break the event continued. Then we conducted a
project making competition using ESP 8266: Specifics. The innovative project competition
had been conducted to help the participants to develop their creativity and their skill sets.
The competition began with Mr Jishnu A, Chairperson of IEEE IAS MESCE, who provided
overview and significance of ESP 8266. Total 8 groups of 10 students participated in this
competition. The time limit for the competition was 2 hour. Four team were displayed their
projects to the judge’s panel. The winner of this competition was Ronin and runner-up was
Ryoma.
At the end of the one-week event: LEGACY 3.0, Mr Aiman Sabique, Chairperson of
IEEE SB MESCE, announced the overall champions of the event. The over all champions of
the competition was RAIJIN. RAIJIN demonstrated exceptional skill, team work, and
dedication. Their performance was truly outstanding. And the runner up was RYOMA.
RYOMA as the runner-up team, demonstrating remarkable expertise and team work,
narrowly missing the top spot. At the end of the event, the champions of the competition
were appreciated with prizes distribution. Participants expressed their gratitude that the
program was highly exciting and interesting.
