IEEE 2026 Ideathon & PitchFest
The IEEE 2026 Ideathon & PitchFest is an innovation-driven event organized to encourage students, particularly women in engineering, to develop creative and technology-based solutions to real-world societal and industrial challenges. The program will bring together students, faculty mentors, industry experts, entrepreneurs, and startup mentors to foster innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration. Participants will work in teams to identify problem statements, design feasible solutions, and develop prototypes or proof-of-concepts before presenting their ideas to an expert jury. The event will include ideation workshops, mentoring sessions, technical guidance, and a final pitch competition to enhance participants' entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills. Women engineers will be encouraged to take leadership roles within teams and confidently present innovative ideas. Industry professionals will provide constructive feedback on technical feasibility, business potential, and commercialization opportunities. The event aims to strengthen innovation, leadership, communication, and entrepreneurial competencies while promoting diversity and inclusion in engineering and technology. Outstanding teams will be recognized with awards and will be encouraged to pursue incubation, startup opportunities, and participation in national and international innovation competitions. The event aligns with the IEEE Women in Engineering mission by empowering women through innovation, technology, and professional development.
