IEEE SEM New Member Development: IEEE Benefits & Mixer event
New Member “Welcome”:
IEEE Southeastern Michigan Section Membership Committee is organizing a new member welcome event, and will be held concurrently with its Senior Member Elevation, at Oakland University on December 7th, 2019 between 10 AM and 1 pm in the Dodge Hall (map). At this meeting we will also highlight the various benefits that come with the IEEE membership.
We will take this opportunity to update new members on everything that the local Section does. We also invite each of our new members to bring along a friend/colleagues/peer - who they feel will benefit from an IEEE membership.
To sign up, please register on this site for the event and also invite your potential IEEE friend/colleague/peer to sign up as well - so they can see for themselves the vast opportunities that abound with the IEEE. After the member benefits introduction, we will be joined by existing members who will be applying for elevation to Senior membership status and a few key Senior members as well.
Networking:
The newly minted IEEE members (and potential members) will be joined for a Section hosted lunch and both potential & new members together should create a wonderful opportunity for cross-generation networking.
* We recommend that attendees park in the lot – South of the Engineering Center (P36).
