Does networking make you nervous? Do you feel uncomfortable starting a conversation? Let’s explore body language and first impressions in the context of networking. We will practice engaging people in conversation and explore how this changes in the virtual environment. Join us for an interactive learning experience.

Biography:

Linda Marshall became an avid networker after taking a course in “Social Capital for Competitive
Advantage” at Michigan Business School. Since then she’s had 15 job offers resulting from informational
interviews/meetings and networking. Six of those offers were roles created specifically for her.
Linda has held various roles in lean quality consulting, program management, product development,
business development, chief system engineer, and assistant controller. She is known for her
collaborative and coaching style, working with teams to improve performance and to creatively solve
problems.  Linda is currently an adjunct professor at Roberts Wesleycan College in healthcare
administration. She is also a business consultant.
Linda has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University, an MS in Applied and Mathematical
Statistics from Rochester Institute of Technology, and an MBA in Finance from the University of
Rochester Simon School. Linda lives in Greece and has two children. Linda is active in the Rochester
