    • From Mustahsin Zarif, 2024-2025 Chair of IEEE Student Branch at UCSD:

Asking funds for year around events, and attending conferences.

Link for the proposed budget for the year 2025: link

    • From Shipra Gudekar, Vice chair of UCSD student branch: Student/Leadership Training Retreat: $965
    • From Vitatlity Lomakin 2025 IEEE San Diego Magnetics Chapter at UCSD: Running the 2025 IEEE Magnetics Society Summer School on the campus of UCSD. The school will host around 100 graduate students and instructors, and it will bring industrial participants. The main sponsors are IEEE Magnetics Society (direct funding for the school), NSF, and industrial sponsors. Expect a $1,800 allocation from the IEEE Magnetics Society for our Magnetics Chapter in the next couple of months. I also hope to receive extra $1,800 in Fall. Additionally, in the last years we received multiple $2,500 transfers from the IEEE Magnetics Society, I think we have not spent it all. Accounting for these transfers and hoping the IEEE Section can provide a little bit of extra support, I would like to ask for a $5,000 allocation. I will attend the meeting today to present the case. I am also attaching some of the material about the school.

The school flier and our original proposal attached.

  • Section Officers Reports

    • Election Committee update on VTools assignment
    • Consultant's Network: Discussion about IEEE's involvement in Del Mar Electronics and Manufacturing Show (Michael Bryant).

      • Speaker suggestion from CS chapter: Dispatch Tech, CopperMountainTech

    • Section Website Update and Maintenance

  • 2025 Budget presentation, discussion, and approval.
