Emerging Technologies for Human Qualification: From Education to Industry - IEEE CASS MU SB "Meet the Researcher" Session by Dr Saul Delabrida
Join us for an engaging “Meet the Researcher” session with Dr Saul Delabrida, visiting from Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP), Brazil.
In this session, students and staff will have the opportunity to interact with Dr. Delabrida, ask questions about his research and career, and enjoy a casual academic chat. Dr. Delabrida will also deliver a lecture titled: “Emerging Technologies for Human Qualification: From Education to Industry”.
Registration: IEEE and CASS members as well as non-IEEE members are invited to Register. IEEE members should include their IEEE Membership Number when registering.
Abstract: This talk explores how emerging technologies are transforming human qualification from K–12 education to industrial training. It presents real-world applications combining Extended Reality (XR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and early-stage Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) to support learning, skills development, and safer training for complex tasks. Framed within the evolution of industrial eras, the talk highlights the central role of humans in increasingly digital and intelligent environments. Case studies from educational and industrial contexts illustrate how immersive technologies enhance engagement, accessibility, and practical skill acquisition. The talk concludes by discussing the potential of neuroadaptive systems and arguing for a human-centered approach to innovation, where emerging technologies act as enablers of human potential in the future of education and industry.
Who Should Attend?
This event is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as staff members, especially those interested in circuit and systems, emerging technologies for human qualification, and related areas.
